Evergreen shrub to 5m. Leaves, single veined, pendulous. Pods brownish 6-12cm, distinctly compressed between seeds. Flowers, small, yellow and arranged in globular heads.

A native of Australia, frequently planted in Cyprus, often to stabilize sand dune areas fringing a beach.
