Orchis quadripunctata (Orchidaceae)

Four-spotted Orchid

A small orchid with white to pink flowers having two rows of spots (4 - 8!) in the throat. Stems are reddish and leaves usually spotted. Distinguished from the similar O. anatolica by the curved spur curving downwards.

Woodlands on igneous or chalky rocks. Locally common.
